General Program Information

• Drug and Alcohol-Free Program located at Heckscher State Park, Field 8.
  
  
• Ages 12-17 from all geographic areas of Long Island.
  
  
• Runs July and August, every Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm-11pm, weather permitting.
  
  
• Bus transportation provided for some areas (Brentwood, Bay Shore, etc.)
  
  
• Permission Slips and Code of Conduct Forms can be found HERE.
  
  
• Supervised by the Suffolk County Police Department, Staff Members, and adult volunteers.
  
  
• Activities: Sports such as Football, Basketball, Volleyball; Arts and Crafts; Computers; Karaoke; Movies; Educational and Special Events.
  
  
• There is NO FEE and NO REGISTRATION requirement; children are brought in by car or bus and must sign in each time they arrive at the program.
  
  
• HYP is a non-profit organization and relies on donations and county funding.
